Prayer on the Meeting of the Lord

O Master, Lord Who didst send Thine Only-begotten Word into the world, born of a Woman, born under the law, that He might redeem them that were under the law;
Thou Who didst also, by the Holy Spirit, foretell His coming to the elder Symeon, to whom also Thou didst shew His presence:
Thyself, O Master, bless us also, unworthy servants though we be, by Thy glowing presence, and accept our prayers, as Thou didst those of the Prophetess Anna when she confessed Him to be the Lord;
and grant that with spiritual embraces we may ever cling to Thine Incarnate Word, and be made consecrated temples of Thine All-Holy Spirit.
Cause Thy community to rejoice in Thy strength; give victory over adversaries visible and invisible;
that in us may be glorified Thine All-holy and majestic Name, of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.
